I like a bit of neutral before it's all gone...

Fashion tricks for shawties (not the gangster wrapper girfriend kind)

       Kylie Minogue- 5'

  • Kylie uses block colouring to create a clean silhouette which doesn't chop her body up into many different parts, meaning she appears elongated.

  • Nude/neutral shoes or matching shoes and trousers increase Kylie's perceived leg length

  • She only gets away with ankle straps in the fiorst picture as they are very very thin and in a muted neutral colour therefore not very noticeably shortening her leg line.

  • Finally Kylie only creates attraction and allows fussiness at her top half to make sure her ensembles are interesting yet flattering.

Kourtney and Kim Kardashian- 5' and 5'2

  • By tucking in her t shirt, Kourtney gives herself a clean and smooth silhouette which stops her short torso and legs from appearing shorter.

  • Kourtney makes her outfit edgy with sky high platformed ankle boots in a nude tone so as not to chop her legs off at her ankles.

  • In contrast to Kourtney, Kim opts for khaki lace up boots which could've taken inches off her legs if she had not worn a dress with such a short hemline! If you've got the pins to flaunt why not!?
Kristen Bell- 5'

  • Kristen's choice of necklace means that she creates an optical illusion of length as it doesn't break up her body and brings attention to her whole body.
  • By opting for shoes that near as damn it match her skin colour, Kristen allows the focus to be on her hot pink skirt/miniscule waist combo and not her lack of height!
  • Finally Kristen's beaming smile and bright eyes convey a confidence in her own skin and detracts from any negativities you might find!
And rember not to worry- the stars get it wrong too!
Christina Ricci- 5'1
Kylie Minogue

These tips and tricks aren't just meant to be for those super shorties amongst us (like me), they work for everyone and are super slimming too.
